Meet Dr. Rachel Fogarty
South Portland Chiropractor
Dr. Rachel Fogarty grew up dreaming of becoming a doctor. She was working in a medical office and obtaining credits to apply to physician assistant school when she realized the allopathic model of medicine wasn’t right for her. It was also at this time she began seeing a local chiropractor. She discovered how practice members in his office, including her, had much more positive experiences and outcomes. When she learned the story of chiropractic, she knew she had found her calling.
She is a Maine native who graduated from the University of Maine Orono with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. In 2016 she received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA and graduated as Valedictorian of her class.
A Passion For Pediatrics
Dr. Rachel loves working with patients of all ages but is especially passionate about serving children. In 2019, she received her Pediatric Certification from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is additionally certified in the Webster Prenatal Technique – a specific adjustment for pregnant women, which helps to normalize pelvic biomechanics and ensure the most comfortable pregnancy and labor/delivery possible.
Dr. Rachel lives in Portland with her husband, Jake, and daughter, Peyton. They enjoy spending their time outdoors hiking, camping, and golfing.
